My 2002 C240 Sedan
(Sold in January of 2005.)
I have setup this page for a car I owned from August of 2004 until January of 2005, this was a wonderful car that I later sold to buy a larger sedan, an S500. This car exceeded my expectations in many ways.
When I purchased this car, I was looking for an inexpensive (but still relatively nice) daily driver to get around in . . . but still under factory warranty to avoid any mechanical hassle. With a price tag less than $20K, this fit the bill perfectly.
The reputation I had heard of this car was that it was the "Bargain Benz," not a wonderful car . . . but just a nice economy car. My expectations for the car were low, but I was thoroughly impressed with it very shortly after owning it.
The Bose stereo was great, the little creature comforts and controls were wonderful, and the car handled and responded wonderfully for such a quiet and luxurious car. Although it was a bargain, it was definitely not inferior.
I did data log my mileage for this car as I owned it, and that data is presented below . . . Most of this was in city driving, as well.

For those who are considering the urchase of a similar vehicle, I would highly recommend it . . . assuming that you have either the factory warranty, a CPO warranty, or a service contract on the car. These cars are wonderful to drive and a bargain for the price, but they have the expensive service associated with Mercedes-Benz tied to it . . . so be prepared for that!
