My Custom 1997 Toyota Supra
(Twin Turbo, 15th Anniversary, Limited Edition, Very Modified)

Hi, my name is Vivek (Lil' Viv), and this is my car. It is a 1997 Toyota Supra Turbo (15th Anniversary, Limited Edition), which I have been driving since August 5, 1997 (brand new). I feel very lucky & fortunate to own a car that's given me all the fun, the experiences, and more I've encountered through the many years I've owned it. I have also met many great people & personalities on the Texas Mk. IV Supras Mailing List, and I am still active on this list.

It's been a long and fun journey from the 320 horsepower it came with to the more than 861 horsepower it now packs. I have retained the goal of trying to keep it looking as stock as possible on the outside . . . I'm more of a fan of performance than appearance more into motoring than attention.

I've had lots of fun at racetracks, on the street, in performance shops, etc. It's also gotten me in a bit of trouble . . . you know you get in a lot of trouble when your lawyer starts sending you Christmas cards. ;-) I have invested a substantial amount in the aftermarket for this car, but my goal is to keep it looking stock. This page will give you a glimpse into the portions of the car you will not be able to see when you see me on the street, as well as showing you results from the track, dyno. and various modifications.

Before Chrome Wheels & Custom Back Hatch
Update: At the end of 2003, after I finished my undergraduate work in college . . . I revitalized the car bringing it back to new asfter 6 years of use. This "revitalization" included a fresh new paint job (stock color) for the entire car, rebuilt transmission (to replace any stripped gears), new clutch/flywheel setup, new brake setup, clear front 3M film ("clear bra"), new tires, and much more . . . and it was like getting the car back brand new . . . 'cept it had 540 more horsepower than a new one. :-) To see some new pictures after revitalizing the car, please click the following link: http://www.lilviv.com/supra/newpaint
An interesting side note is that making all the modifications and changes to this car was VERY exciting when a modified Supra was uncommon. Being the first one to do many modifications was very exciting, and this resulted in a lot of learning "the hard way." A lot of people were able to benefit by my learning and my mistakes as told on this webpage. I certainly hope that trend continues. However, nowadays, to find a Supra that has not been modified is uncommon. Not that the car is not a plethora of fun, now . . . but the times when everything was new and unheard of was unexplainably exciting. :-)
In an effort to reduce load times, I have split this into different sections for performance work, racing, stereo work, and a section to mention anything that may not fit into the other three sections.
